Este retablo, constituye una obra neocolonial, es decir, una recreación moderna inspirada en los lenguajes formales y ornamentales del barroco virreinal. Su estructura se organiza en un solo cuerpo con banco, calle central y ático, enmarcados por columnas salomónicas recubiertas en pan de oro.

En la calle central se dispone la escultura de Cristo Resucitado, imagen de origen quiteño del siglo XVIII, autor anónimo, de factura delicada y expresión triunfante, portando estandarte de victoria como símbolo pascual. La hornacina en la que se aloja presenta decoración de roleos vegetales, conchas aveneradas y motivos fitomorfos dorados, elementos que aluden al renacer espiritual y a la protección divina. 

En el ático, por su parte, se encuentra una antigua talla del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, rodeado de dos columnas tipo salomónicas que se caracterizan por su fuste helicoidal.

El banco del retablo está decorado con motivos vegetales entrelazados, flores y follajes dorados. 

This altarpiece, is a Neocolonial work—that is, a modern recreation inspired by the formal and ornamental languages of the Viceregal Baroque. Its structure is organized into a single tier with a predella, central niche, and attic, framed by Solomonic columns covered in gold leaf.

In the central niche stands the sculpture of the Risen Christ, a Quito-origin image from the 18th century, by an anonymous artist, delicately crafted and with a triumphant expression, holding a victory banner as a Paschal symbol. The niche in which it is housed displays decoration of vegetal scrolls, scallop shells, and gilded phytomorphic motifs—elements that allude to spiritual rebirth and divine protection.

In the attic, there is an old carving of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, flanked by two Solomonic columns characterized by their helical shafts.

The predella of the altarpiece is decorated with intertwined vegetal motifs, flowers, and gilded foliage.
